Vantage Bd. to meet again on Thursday

The ongoing search for a new treasurer will continue this Thursday, October 12, when the Vantage Career Center Board of Education meets in special session. The board will meet behind closed doors at 6 p.m. that night in the district conference room.

“We have a great group of candidates and have narrowed it down to two that we have asked back for a second visit,” Board President Pat Baumle said via email. “We’ll be meeting with them Thursday after which we hope to arrive at an individual we can offer the position. Both candidates have a great deal of financial experience and bring unique qualities that we are looking forward to exploring further.”

Six people initially applied for the job and four of them were interviewed last week.

The person chosen for the job will replace current Treasurer Laura Peters, who’s leaving at the end of the year for the same job with the Delphos City Schools.
