Deborah L. Turvy

Deborah L. Turvy, 68, of Van Wert, died Saturday evening, October 21, 2023, at her residence.

Debbie was born on February 19, 1955, in Washington Court House, to James and Ann (Ducey) Polk. She married Keith Turvy June 6, 1987, who survives in Van Wert.

She retired as an administrative assistant. She had formerly worked for various businesses in Van Wert. Debbie enjoyed being around the water, the Ohio State Buckeyes, caring for her pets and, most importantly, she loved being with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Keith, Debbie is survived by her mother, Ann Polk of Tucson, Arizona; her sons, Scott (Misty) Marshall of Winter Garden, Florida and Travis (Kenzie) Turvy of St. Henry; her grandchildren, Addison Marshall and Landon Turvy; a brother, Dr. James (Ferne) Polk of Spotsylvania, Virginia; a sister, Diane Cain of Tucson; and a stepsister, Christa Polk of Sabina, Ohio.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, James Polk.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, October 28, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Family and friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
