Edward Lee (Ed) Baucom

Edward Lee (Ed) Baucom, 78, of Bryan, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at Hillside Country Living Center in Bryan.

He was born August 9, 1945, in Lebanon, Ohio, to Marshall Hill Baucom and Dorothy Elaine (Daugherty), who both preceded him in death. He married Susan K. Benner on July 17, 1964, and she preceded him in death on February 22, 1999. He is survived by his life companion, Jo Hageman.

He is also survived by two sons, Randy (Patti) Baucom of Lima, and Michael (Renell) Baucom of Scottsdale, Arizona; a daughter, Tina (Matthew) Hulbert of Van Wert; grandchildren, Kaleb Baucom. Chelsea Baucom, Hannah (Jacob) Braun, Jorian Baucom, Brooke (David) Mcmonigal; two great-grandchildren, David Mcmonigal Jr. and Carter Mcmonigal; two brothers, Douglas and Mark, and two sisters, Patsy and Brenda.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Roy and Milton and three sisters, Joyce, Cynthia, and Faith.

Ed enjoyed listening to AC-DC and Journey. He was best described as being a happy, smiling man whose favorite things to do were mowing lawns and keeping his truck clean. He had worked for General Electric Company for 24 years and had also worked at Chrysler Amplex for a time.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, October 27, at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
