Festival ribbon cutting

A ribbon cutting ceremony officially marked the start of the 2024 Peony Festival. The ceremony was held Friday morning at Fountain Park in Van Wert. The weather was perfect for the first day of the festival and should be favorable today as well. The annual parade will begin at 5 p.m. today (Saturday). Bob Barnes/VW independent
