Bryan 3 Van Wert 1
At Van Wert High School, Bryan defeated Van Wert 25-16, 23-25, 25-13, 25-16 on Saturday.
Bella Wise finished with nine kills for the Cougars and Amaya Dowdy added seven. Dowdy also finished with five blocks, a pair of aces and 15 digs. Maria Parrish had 18 digs and Wise tallied 16 digs. Brissia Ickes had 25 assists.
Van Wert (1-15) will play at Delphos Jefferson today.
Lincolnview 3 Hicksville 1
HICKSVILLE — Lincolnview dropped the first set but rallied to defeat Hicksville 19-25, 28-26, 25-18, 25-23 on Saturday.
Emma Bowersock and Beth Hughes led the Lancers with 17 and 15 kills, while Brooklyn Byrne added nine. Allie Miller had 27 digs and Ashlyn Price had 37 assists.
Lincolnview (12-4) will host Bluffton on Tuesday.
Tennis
LIMA — Celina won the WBL girls tennis tournament at UNOH on Saturday. Ottawa-Glandorf was the runner-up and Van Wert finished seventh overall.
Mandy Burenga finished in fourth place at first singles, Sophie Gearhart was sixth at second singles and Lauren Gearhart finished seventh at third singles. The first doubles team of Carolina Zappa and Lillie Mull also finished seventh and the second doubles team of Brooke Young and Leia Hoersten placed eighth.
The Cougars will begin Division II sectional play at UNOH on Thursday.
Soccer
Ada 10 Van Wert 0
At Ada, the Bulldogs defeated Van Wert 10-0 in girls non-conference soccer action on Saturday.
The Cougars will host Kenton on Tuesday.
Coldwater 6 Crestview 0
CONVOY — The Lady Knights were shut out by Coldwater 6-0 on Saturday.
Crestview will host Delphos Jefferson today.
