NAPOLEON — A pair of six inning runs gave the second seeded Fairview Apaches a 3-1 Division VI district championship game victory over No. 3 seed Lincolnview at Napoleon on Saturday.

The Apaches snapped a 1-1 tie and scored on back-to-back two out RBI singles by Logan Olinger and Elijah Arend. The Lancers had two on base in the top of the seventh – Carter Stevens and Seth Brant – via walks, but Fairview was able to induce a ground ball out to end the game.

Lincolnview was held to two hits in the game, singles by Chayse Overholt and Myles Moody, the team’s lone senior. The two collaborated for Lincolnview’s only run, which came in the first inning. Overholt, the leadoff hitter, was hit by a pitch to open the game, then later scored on Moody’s single.

Graham Kill pitched all six innings for the Lancers and gave up seven hits, three runs (one earned) with a strikeout and two walks.

Lincolnview’s season ended at 21-8.
