JaNahn Jane Sinn

JaNahn Jane Sinn, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at her home in Van Wert, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 14, 1957, in Paulding County, to John and Lillian (Rager) Schlatter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant sister, Jan, and her sister, Ann Geiger.

JaNahn is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Stan Sinn, whom she married on August 15, 1976. She was baptized and became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in February, 1977, a faith that remained the foundation of her life.

Together, Stan and JaNahn were blessed with six children, Josh (Chrissy) Sinn, Jessica (Sam) Bear, Johanna (Brandon) Pardon, Jake (Ashley) Sinn, Janna (Tyler) Gerber, and Janae (Josh) Greve. She was a proud grandmother to 18 cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Nan Durkee, Penny Boyce, and Kim (Tom) Sinn, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A 1975 graduate of Wayne Trace High School, JaNahn and Stan spent many years raising their family before making Bonita Springs, Florida, their full-time home 11 years ago. Together they built a home rooted in faith, love, hard work, and family.

JaNahn was the heart of her home. She faithfully cared for those she loved, always making sure her family had what they needed. Through her quiet example, she taught the values of hard work, responsibility, perseverance, generosity, and unconditional love.

She and Stan were also richly blessed with many  friends who became family. Whether traveling, sharing meals, gathering with loved ones, attending church, or spending time with her children and grandchildren, JaNahn found her greatest joy in being with the people she loved.

While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds peace in the legacy she leaves behind a family deeply rooted in faith, love, and one another. They take comfort in the many memories shared and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.

More than anything, JaNahn treasured God, and the family he gave her. The love and closeness her children and grandchildren share today are a lasting reflection of the life she lived and the example she set. Her faith, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 19, at the Latty Apostolic Christian Church with church clergymen officiating. Burial will follow in the Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Latty Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall. There will also be one hour of calling before the service at church on Sunday from 12-1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in JaNahn’s memory to the CJD Foundation or to Everheart Hospice.
