Van Wert netters fall to Celina

CELINA — It was a rough afternoon for the Van Wert tennis team, as the Cougars were shut out 5-0 at Celina.

At first singles, Michael Etter fell to Bryce Langenkamp 0-6, 4-6, and at second singles Kannen Wannemacher lost to Kyle Lochtefeld 0-6, 6-2, 2-6. Max Sealscott lost at third singles, dropping a 4-6, 4-6 decision to Collin Harris.

The first doubles team of Michael Hellman and Nathan Ruger lost to Garrett Farlow and Sohaib Saleem 3-6, 2-6, and the second doubles duo of Storm Pierce and Kaden Thomas fell to Brandon Schmidlap and Justin Warnement 2-6, 6-3 and 6-7.

Van Wert (0-3, 0-2 WBL) will host St. Marys today.
