HDP partners with Red Cross on campaign

HAVILAND — Haviland Drainage Products is partnering with the American Red Cross in the Missing Types campaign — a movement to inspire new blood donors to roll up a sleeve and help save lives.

Area residents may have noticed that something is a little off with the Haviland Drainage logo, which is missing some letters (see right). The American Red Cross has requested that their partnering companies remove the letters A, B and O from their logos throughout the campaign, which runs from June 11-July 3. This is to help increase awareness that, without donations of blood types A, B and O, the Red Cross can’t save anybody. Everyone’s help is needed to help fill in the missing types.

Haviland Drainage Products is asking for local residents’ support of the Missing Types campaign by donating blood or getting the word out. Doing so will help ensure more people are donating blood and more lives are saved. Please help get the information out about some local blood drives going on the our local area. More new blood donors are needed now.

The next local bloodmobile will be held from noon-5 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Lee Kinstle GM Sales and Service, 650 W. Ervin Road in Van Wert.
