Amelia B. Lineberger

Amelia B. Lineberger, 87, of Van Wert, died at 11:01 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born January 29, 1924, in Lima, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Theresa (Fargo) Benny. On June 17, 1945, she married Edwin O. Lineberger, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three children, Gregory M. Lineberger of Santa Fe, N.M., Pamela A. Lohman of Chambersburg, Pa., and Cynthia S. Luby of Ellenton, Fla.; two brothers, David J. (Janet) Benny of Elida and Arnold (Sharon) Benny of Wapakoneta; three sisters, Theresa Carnes of Wapakoneta, Regina (Wayne) Bailey of Lima and Irma (Donald) Newland of Howard; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Three children, Nancy L., Patricia L. and Gordon W. Lineberger; a brother, Nicholas Benny; and two sisters, Mathilda Wright and Wilma Benny, also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima, with the Rev. Hal Shafer officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: Alzheimer’s Research Foundation or a charity of donor’s choice.
