James Lee Parrish

James Lee Parrish of Van Wert died at 1:37 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born July 18, 1951, in Van Wert, the son of the late Robert Junior and Juanita Marcile (Kohn) Parrish. On July 30, 1981, he married Deborah L. (Close) Parrish, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son, Scott W. (Jackie) Close of New Haven, Ind.; three brothers, Jerry D. (Tammy) Parrish of Convoy, Jeff J. (Penny) Parrish of Wren and Jason F. (Kelly) Parrish of Ohio City; three sisters, Jody Hoersten of Fort Wayne, Jane (Darrell) Dietrich of Willshire and Judy (Steve) Vaske of Ohio City; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be conducted at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Jeff Patterson officiating.

Calling hours are from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the funeral home.
