Nominations needed for weekly award

Attention area winter sports coaches and athletic directors: nominations are needed for this week’s Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week.

Nominations of student athletes in any winter sport must be sent via email by 12 p.m. on Tuesday to sports@thevwindependent.com. One name will be chosen and he/she will receive a T-shirt courtesy of Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy and will be featured on Friday’s Sports page.
