Rib Cook-Off said successful

Lots of people came out for ribs and Blues as the 2011 Van Wert Rib Cook-Off took place on Saturday at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Blues bands The Dogz, Scotty Bratcher and Tinsley Ellis entertained between the raindrops while plenty of ribs and a few cans of beer and soft drinks were downed during the event. Winners of the Rib Cook-Off are as follows: Best Sauce — Pork Brothers BBQ, first; Shigs in Pit, second; JAV’s, third; People’s Choice — Gibson’s Barnyard BBQ, first; Pork Brothers BBQ, second; Red Pig Inn, third; Judges’ Choice — Pork Brothers BBQ, first; Red Pig Inn, second; Gibson’s Barnyard BBQ, third.
