Robert P. Ernst

Robert P. “Ernie” Ernst, 55, of Delphos, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born February 28, 1956, in Lima, the son of the late Paul G. and Alice E. (Lause) Ernst.

Survivors include three brothers, John Ernst and Scott C. Ernst, both of Delphos, and Thomas (Kelly) Ernst of Cridersville; three sisters, Paula (Richard) Stump of Delphos, Joan (Michael) Coffey of Lima and Carol (Kevin) Kleman of Ludlow Falls; nine nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 15, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, August 14, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening, and a memorial visitation an hour prior to services at the church.
