Pauline J. Grubb

Pauline J. Grubb, 100, of Van Wert, died at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born May 13, 1911, in Venedocia, the daughter of the late James H. and Myrtle (Evans) Jones. On September 16, 1949, she married Paul Grubb, who preceded her in death on March 30, 1992.

Survivors include a niece, Alice Ann Northrup of Van Wert; one nephew, James B. Jones of Van Wert; a brother-in-law, Andy Darras; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Five brothers, David, Donald, Marvin, Richard and Robert Jones; two sisters, Mary D. Jones and Barbara Darras; and a sister-in-law, Laura Jones, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Hal Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, August 28, at the funeral home.
