Humane Society donation…

Under the leadership of Van Wert Middle School teacher Marie Markward and community volunteer Rachel Hoverman, the sixth grade Cougar Leaders raised $250 for the Humane Society Capital Campaign. The civic-minded students sold “canes for canines” during the Christmas season. Shown above is Humane Society Vice President Franki Eggleston with lovable Reed, as well as Humane Society board member Jeff Hood, receiving a generous donation. The Humane Society is raising money for a new shelter on Fox Road and will be kicking off the campaign in a big way in March 2020.  photo provided
