ODOT lists pending construction projects

LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 1 has listed road construction projects in the district for the coming week. Area projects include the following:
Van Wert County
U.S. 30, from Middle Point-Wetzel Road to Fifth Street in Delphos is reduced to one lane through the work zone for the resurfacing project. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company of Findlay.
Ohio 118 (Shannon Street), between Ervin Road and Main Street, remains open to local traffic only during reconstruction, widening and water line and sanitary sewer installation, which began in 2010. Localized one-block closures will occur throughout the project; however, the intersection of Ervin Road and Shannon Street reopened to traffic on Tuesday, August 30. The project is expected to be completed in September. The Shelly Company of Thornville is doing the work.
Paulding County
Ohio 111, from the Paulding County line to Detrick Street, Ohio 637, from Ohio 111 to Ohio 66; Ohio 66, from Oakwood to Rosedale Avenue in Defiance; and Ohio 613, from U.S. 127 to Oakwood: resurfacing is underway and is reducing traffic to one lane through the work zone. The project will continue until late October. Work is being performed by Gerken Paving of Napoleon.
Putnam County
Ohio 109, from Ohio 613 to the Henry County line, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for tarring and chipping of the roadway. Work is being performed by Putnam County ODOT crews.
