J. Evan Rees

J. Evan Rees, 68, of Annapolis, Md., died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born December 29, 1942, in Van Wert, the son of the late John and Evelyn (Mace) Rees. He married V. Jane (Scheiderer) Rees, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two children, Kira (John) Gleeson of Lothian, Md., and Steve J. Rees of Davisonville, Md.; a brother, Hayden Rees of Delphos; six grandchildren; and two nieces.

A niece and a nephew also preceded him in death.

Private family services will be conducted. Burial will be in Horeb Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: Donor’s choice.
