Van Wert independent/submitted information

CELINA — Business leaders and local healthcare providers from Van Wert, Auglaize and Mercer counties, along with wellness experts from around the state, will gather for the Tri-County Worksite Wellness Summit on Wednesday, September 21, at Romer’s Catering in Celina.

“Due to the overwhelming response we had two years ago at our first Wellness Summit, we’ve worked collaboratively once again with our area hospitals and Safety Councils, to bring another informative program to the area,” said Ami Boley, account executive for the West Central Ohio Regional Healthcare Alliance (WCORHA). “Employers will walk away with beneficial information they can use and implement pertaining to Worksite Wellness.”

Free CEUs will be available for human resources personnel and insurance brokers. Sessions include:

  • What Makes A Worksite Wellness Program Work?
  • Communicate Effectively for Participation and Results
  • Getting Employees to Adopt Healthy Behaviors That Last
  • Worksite Wellness Programs in the Era of Healthcare Reform

WCORHA, Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater, Van Wert County Hospital, and the Grand Lake Safety Council are hosting the summit.

Featured speakers include Richard Siegenthaler II, M. ED., CBP, president of Integrated Wellness Solutions, and Diane Oliver from Healthspan.

Well-designed and implemented Worksite Wellness programs have a real, measureable impact on employees’ health. They encourage and promote healthy lifestyles changes among employees that ultimately save valuable healthcare dollars.

There is a “well-volution” happening in the business world and this summit will exam ways for local business to effectively be a part of it and have a positive impact on their employees as well as their bottom line.

WCORHA is a network of community hospitals working together to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of healthcare services.
