Ruth “Curly” G. Keeler

Ruth “Curly” G. Keeler, age 88 died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Gardens of Paulding, Paulding, OH.

She was born September 16, 1923 in Paulding the daughter of John P. and Julia O. (Ankney) Julian.  On July 11, 1942 she married John L. Keeler, who preceded her in death on February 4, 1986.  She was employed as a matron and deputy for the Paulding Co. Jail.  She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paulding; the Buckeye State Sheriff Association; lifetime member of VFW Post #587 Auxiliary; and lifetime member of Paulding Co. Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, John (Susan) Keeler, Paulding; a daughter, Dorothy (Jerry) Flaugh, Payne; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Velma Colley.

With respect to Mrs. Keeler’s requests there will be no visitation and a private family only graveside services will be held in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or Gardens of Paulding Activity Fund.
