With four weeks of school under their belts, students of Crestview are preparing for some exciting upcoming events.
The varsity volleyball team is looking forward to tournament time as they played their last regular season game at Ada High School on Tuesday. Senior Taylor Springer said “To prepare for tournament, we work together, stay mentally positive, and know we can accomplish anything if we work as team. We also have a lot of team bonding.” The varsity soccer team plays tonight at Kalida High School. The varsity football team heads to Spencerville to face off against the Bearcats tomorrow night at 7:30. Saturday, the cross country team has a meet at Paulding.
Interim report grades were due on Monday, and will be handed out to students on Friday. The end of the first nine weeks is on November 4th.
Student Council is also preparing for the homecoming week festivities. Junior Elizabeth Saylor said, “I am most looking forward to watching my friends play in the powder-puff game.” The Model United Nations club had their first practice Monday before school. Advisor Mr. James Lautzenheiser said, “My favorite part about Mode UN is getting new countries. It’s like playing a game of Risk; you always start over with new countries.” FCCLA is collecting pop tabs to give to the Ronald McDonald house and they attended their district meeting on Tuesday.
