The triple murder of 3 members of a Convoy family 22 years ago is back in the headlines, both here and in Florida.  This time, it’s because the man convicted of terrorizing and murdering then, 36 year old Joan Rogers and daughters, 17 year old Christe and 14 year old Michelle during a Florida vacation, has had his death warrant signed by Florida Governor, Rick Scott.   Long-time death row inmate Oba Chandler, now 65, once told an interviewer shortly after sentencing that, if they kill him, they’d be killing an old man.  He also referred to himself as a victim of the system.    His date for execution by lethal injection in a Florida prison: November 15, 2011.
