Pearl May (Galloway) Dobson

Pearl May (Galloway) Dobson passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 in her 104th year.  Pearl was the mother of Guy and Iain and loving grandmother to Sarah, Claire, Rosemary and William.

Pearl was proceeded in death by her parents, Clint (Doc) and Clara Galloway, six brothers and sisters, Lester, Ruby, Katy, Bill, Sam and Ed.  She is survived by a brother Tom Galloway and several nieces and nephews in the U.S.  Pearl graduated from Moody Bible College in Chicago (1934) and went on to serve as a missionary in war torn China from 1935 to 1940.  She graduated from Taylor University in 1942 where she became Dean of Women.  She taught English, History and bible studies in Toronto and St. Vincent until her 80th year.  Pearl was an active member of Knox Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 630 Spadina Road, Toronto, Ontario on Friday October 14th at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
