Antwerp woman killed on US 30

A 20 year old Antwerp woman lost her life in an early morning, one vehicle crash Saturday  in Van Wert County.  According to a report from the Ohio Highway Patrol, Mickae L. Schlatter was driving westbound on US 30 near Dixon Cavette Road when she reportedly drifted off the left side of the road, striking a traffic sign.  The vehicle  then swerved back to the right, crossing both westbound lanes and proceeded off the right side.  Schlatter was pronounced dead at the scene.  Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident which remains under investigation.  The patrol report says a seat belt was not in use.  The accident occurred shortly before 3 a.m.
