Stacy Hohman of Luckey, Ohio, was recently named the nursing academic coordinator for Northwest State Community College’s Van Wert satellite location. She is responsible for the nursing and academic programs, recruiting faculty and students, and evaluating programs.

“The Northwest State Van Wert location continues to see growth, both in the nursing program and with general education course offerings. This fall, the practical nursing program welcomed the largest class ever to Van Wert,” said Lori Bird, dean of nursing. “Stacy’s experience in healthcare administration will help the College to manage that growth and assure the best possible training for our students.”
Hohman’s healthcare experience includes positions in registered nursing, quality management and clinical credentialing. Prior to joining Northwest State, she served as a healthcare surveyor for the Ohio Department of Health. She brings previous classroom experience from her time as adjunct faculty at Owens Community College.
In addition to being a registered nurse, Hohman holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Loyola University New Orleans. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, an honor society for nursing.
Hohman replaces Ann Helm who retired this past summer. Helm served as the first coordinator for the Northwest State nursing program when it began at Vantage Career Center in 2004.
The Northwest State Van Wert site is located in the Shannon Station Shopping Center at 793 Fox Road.
