Martha Carter

Martha Carter, 80, of Van Wert, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

Martha was born December 16, 1930, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Mary B. (Howick) Stoops and A. Holmes Stoops. She married Richard A. Edwards, who preceded her in death. She then married William E. Carter, who also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
