Apples everywhere

Apples were certainly the main attraction as the 2011 edition of the Apple Festival opened Friday at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Many apple-themed treats are available at the festival, which continues today from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., while lots of other food items and a number of arts and crafts items are being offered.
