Few take advantage of Amnesty Day

Just three people took advantage of Friday’s Van Wert Municipal Court Warrant Amnesty Day.

It allowed anyone with misdemeanor traffic or criminal arrest warrants to appear in court without being arrested, in exchange for updated contact information and an agreement to complete and comply with any court orders.

Another Warrant Amnesty Day may be offered later this year.
