Hiestand Woods closing for improvements

The Van Wert County Foundation will begin construction at Hiestand Woods Park and Preserve later this month.

The wooded preserve is scheduled to be closed from Monday, July 25, through Friday, September 30.

Once work is complete, the woods will feature a new trail, will be safter and will allow for greater handicap accessibility.
