‘Toast to YWCA’ & Silent Tree Auction set
Willow Bend and First Federal Savings and Loan will be co-hosting “A Toast to the YWCA” and the Silent Tree Auction” on Friday, November 18, to support the less fortunate of the Van Wert community.
Join the sponsors for a grand evening of wine and beer tasting in the impressive atmosphere of Willow Bend, and enjoy a night on the town while learning from professional representatives, as well as local distributors, about a variety of fine wines and premium beers.
This is the first year for this event and the YWCA is hoping to make it a memorable one! The evening will be complete with hors d’oeuvres and valet parking! There will be a cash bar before and after the event.
The Silent Tree Auction will also be held during this event. Numerous businesses and individuals throughout the area decorate and donate the trees and wreaths for silent bidding. This year we are adding a twist! If your bid is accepted, you have the option of donating the beautifully decorated tree to a less fortunate family in our community.
Tickets are $35 and go on sale at the YWCA starting November 1. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event begins at 7 that evening. All seating is reserved.
All proceeds from the event go to support the YWCA social service programs, including the Transitional Living Program for homeless women and children and Summer Food Program, which focuses its efforts on stamping out childhood hunger.
For more information contact the YWCA at 419.238.6639 or visit the YW’s website at www.ywca.org/vanwertcounty.
The YWCA is an agency of United Way of Van Wert County and also receives funding from The Van Wert County Foundation.
