Police seek suspect in Pak A Sak robbery

The Van Wert Police Department is seeking a suspect in a robbery that allegedly took place at the Pak A Sak convenience store at 800 N. Washington St. late Tuesday evening.

Police received a call from employees of Pak A Sak at 10:11 p.m. Tuesday reporting that the store had just been robbed.

Employees described the robber as being a white male,  5 foot 6, or 5 foot 8 tall, with short brown hair and wearing a gray sweatshirt over a navy blue t-shirt and blue jeans.

The robber did not apparently display a weapon, but still demanded money and was given an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area on foot.

The suspect was last seen running southeast from the area of the store.

Police in Decatur, Ind., are also investigating a similar robbery from Tuesday, while other robberies were also reported around the area, including two in the Lima area.
