“My House” is photo competition theme

Families wishing to take advantage of the club’s Holiday Shoot from 9-1 a.m. Saturday, November 5, at the Wassenberg Art Center are reminded that they must have an appointment to avoid disrupting the photographing of other families. Please get an appointment time by calling President Jodi Hattery at: 419.238.6837 or by Email at: jodi@hatteryphotography.net. and arrive at that time.

Due to Thanksgiving falling on the day of the Wassenberg Camera Club’s second monthly meeting, the club’s only meeting in November will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 10. “My House” will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening.

It is usually at this point that we expand our thinking on how the theme may be shot, but in this case, since it’s not “Types of Houses,” there is not much room for elaboration. In addition to the dwelling you occupy, you might consider a house you own or constructed. Besides being a full-scale building, you might include: a dollhouse, bird or doghouse, or a house on the Board Walk. A coach may refer to the home arena or stadium as “Our House”, so his players may personalize it as “My House”. I would assume you could picture “My House” as it is, or as you regard it, or wish it were. In any case, it should be an interesting competition.
