Travel discouraged due to conditions

Extremely windy conditions and dangerously low wind chill factors have made travel around Van Wert County and well beyond difficult and in some cases, nearly impossible.

Unless it’s absolutely necessary to go out, travel is highly discouraged at this time. Anyone who feels they need to go out should call ahead to ensure their destination is open.
