June L. Klinger, 72, of Middle Point, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born March 24, 1939, in Jackson Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of Paul O. Swartz, who survives in Fort Jennings, and the late Frances O. (Price) Swartz. On March 22, 1958, she married Robert L. Klinger, who survives in Middle Point.

Mrs. Klinger was a 1957 graduate of Hoaglin Jackson High School and was a member of the Denominations singing group and various other singing groups all of her life. She was a life member of Zion Christian Union Church in Grover Hill and a member of the Mission Board of the church. She was also very active in the Grover Hill Food Bank and on her family team, “For Pete’s Sake,” in the Van Wert County Relay for Life. She followed her grandchildren in everything they did and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her father and husband, survivors include two children, Kent (Lori) Klinger of Fort Jennings and Penny (Randy) Baucom of Middle Point; three sisters, Wanda Sue (Jack) Krick of Winterhaven, Fla., Sharon (David) Sheets of Van Wert and Brenda (Jimmy) Welch of Fort Jennings; and four grandchildren, Justin and Gregory Klinger and Kaleb and Chelsea Baucom.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 11, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Revs. Joe Redmond and Mark McKay officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at the funeral home.
