Camera Club schedules November meeting

The Wassenberg Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at the Wassenberg Art Center on South Washington Street in Van Wert.  “My House” will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening. This will be the club’s only meeting in November due to Thanksgiving falling on the date of its second regular meeting.

All area photographers should be aware of Lima’s juried Photography Exhibition taking place January
6 – February 12 at the ArtSpace/Lima facility at 65-67 Town Square inLima. Photographers, youth and older, may submit up to seven photos, but no more than two per category, on December 10 or 11 from 1-5 p.m. Entry fees are $5 per entry for members and $7 per picture for non-members.

Categories include: Animal, Architecture, Black & White, Landscape, Miscellaneous,Plants, Portrait, Special Effects, and Still Life. Youth 17 and younger may also submit pictures not in the listed categories. A reception forartists and friends will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on January 6, with the awards presentation starting at 7:30 p.m.  All accepted work may be picked up after February 18.

The Wassenberg Camera Club’s next meeting will not be until December 8, when it will hold its annual Christmas dinner, determine the best print and slide for 2011,  and select the competition themes and elect its officers for 2012.
