Lancer wrestlers do well at Van Buren

VAN BUREN – The Lincolnview Lancer wrestling team took six wrestlers to compete in the 33^rd Van Buren Invitational this past weekend. All of the Lincolnview wrestlers did well in what is a very tough competition, with a total of 22 teams competing.

All of the Lancer wrestlers were able to get a few unexpected wins at the tournament, with Jaquobe Markward making an appearance on the awards podium with a fifth-place finish in the 103-pound weight class. Markward had a 4-3 record for the tournament.

The Lincolnview wrestling team will next compete in the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbird Invitational this coming weekend.
