“My House” monthly competition winner

The Wassenberg Camera Club met Thursday, November 10, at the Wassenberg Art Center to compete in prints and slides. “My House” was the competition theme. Rex Dolby’s picture of snow piled high around his house after the blizzard of ’78 was voted the best slide. There were no prints submitted for judging.
In other business, Karl Gribler said that there were no expenditures since last month’s report, Larry Dickerhoof volunteered to research the possibly of purchasing some high-light spots for the studio, and President Hattery discussed preparations for the annual Christmas dinner next month on December 8.
Club members were impressed with the large number of paintings, prints,sculptures, ceramics, photographs, jewelry, and note cards on display and/or for sale at the Creative Catalyst Art Exhibit & Sale going on now at the Wassenberg Art Center through December 16. If you’re looking for a special Christmas gift, you might be surprised when you see what all is available at the Art Center, which is open 1-5 p.m. Tuesday – Sunday and closed on Monday.
