Franklin 4th-graders study resources, economy
Fourth grade students at Franklin have been making connections between Ohio’s natural

resources and its economy. Areas of agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and forestry were the main focus. Topics were assigned and researched to gather more information to share with their peers. Students learned some interesting things about our state; Toledo is known for making glass (Libby Glass), Cincinnati is famous for soap and detergents (Proctor & Gamble).
