Camera Club Christmas dinner closes out 2011

The Wassenberg Camera Club will hold its last meeting of 2011when it gathers at 6:30 p.m.,Thursday, December 8, for its annual Christmas dinner and year-end judging at the Wassenberg Art Center.

 President Jodi Hattery asks that anyone who can, come early to help set up tables and chairs and do some decorating. Those bringing hot dishes, salads, or desserts to share, are reminded to arrive early enough so that all the food will be ready for serving promptly at 6:30. Members, their families, and/or guests are to bring their own table service, cups, and drinks. The club will provide the meat.

 There are a number of goals that need to be achieved following the meal. One will be the selection of the best print and slide for 2011. Everyone present may cast a vote and suggest competition themes for the next year. Club members will elect their new officers for 2012, and once these goals are met, the only thing left will be to restore the main gallery and clean up the kitchen.
