Thrivent cuts ribbon on new office

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, located in a new building since mid-October, cut the ribbon Friday on those new offices, which are located across from Van Wert Cinemas at 10730 Lincoln Highway. The offices formerly housed the Western Buckeye Educational Service Center. The company offers life insurance, long-term care disability insurance, mutual funds, several types of annuities, health insurance, and Medicare Part D drug plans for senior citizens. It also provides financial support to various community organizations and is affiliated with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Van Wert and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy. However, Carl Etzler (shown above cutting the ribbon), who heads the Van Wert Thrivent office, stressed that people don’t have to be Lutheran to avail themselves of the company’s services.
