Baker, who admitted to using marijuana, moving from his listed address without informing his probation office and failure to follow instructions of his probation officer, was granted 207 days credit for time already served in jail.

Others who appeared in Common Pleas Court on community control violations included the following:

Stephanie L. Farmer, 30, of Van Wert, admitted to using heroin and fentanyl patches, as well as failing to report as ordered to her probation officer.

Farmer, who admitted to having a substantial drug problem, was resentenced to community control, with the added stipulation that she serve up to six months in the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation (WORTH) Center in Lima.

Because of a custody dispute with the father of two of her children, Farmer was released on electronically monitored house arrest under the supervision of her parents until she is transported to the WORTH Center.

Mindy Kremer of Van Wert was also resentenced to three years of community control, along with an additional 90 days in jail, after she admitted to violating her original community control by using designer drugs and failing to report to her probation officer.

“I just want to say I’m sorry for messing up again,” Kremer told Judge Steele, noting that she was unable to handle her daughter being molested and the death of her younger brother, as well as being diagnosed with cancer. “I need to have counseling for all the problems that have happened this past year.”

Kremer was also ordered to participate and complete any program recommended by the probation department.

Christopher Adkins of Van Wert had his probation violation hearing continued by Judge Steele and was ordered held without bond pending disposition of a domestic violence case cited as one of his probation violations. He also was cited for using marijuana.
