Van Wert varsity wrestlers lost two close matches this week, with Celina downing the Cougars 36-33 and Bath edging Van Wert 36-30.

Winning matches against Celina were Reed Baxter at 120 pounds, Zach Burk at 126 pounds, Sean Dorsch at 138 pounds, Colten Royer at 152 pounds, Jordan Daniels at 160 pounds, Gabe Hill at 170 pounds, and Jimmy Hardman at 285 pounds.

Cougars winning against Bath included Korbin Schalois at 106 pounds, Ritchie Espinoza, by void, at 113 pounds, Burk at 126 pounds, Dorsch at 145 pounds, Royer at 160 pounds, Steven Kopp at 220 pounds and Terrin Contreras at 285 pounds.
