Marlins get win over Hardin County YM

The YMCA Marlins hosted the Hardin County YMCA on Saturday, December 17.  The Marlins won the battle of two of the smallest area Y swim teams by a score of 323-63.

Winning all five of their individual events were Emma Pollock, Daniel Miller, Addison Henkaline, Bethany Fast, Sam Easley and Evan Stant. Katie McVaigh won four out of her five events.

Also taking a first were Jaime Burenga, Risa Pollock (two), Andrew Henkaline and Erin Miller.  Marlins will be off the next three weeks returning to action on January 7, 2012.

8 & Under Girls: Emma Pollock – 1^st 100 individual medley, 25 freestyle, 25 butterfly, 50 freestyle and 25 backstroke.  Jamie Burenga – 1^st 25 breaststroke; 2^nd 25 freestyle, 50 freestyle and 25 backstroke.

8 & Under Boys: Daniel Miller – 1^st 100 IM, 25 freestyle, 25 butterfly, 50 freestyle and 25 breaststroke.  Luke Miller – 2^nd 25 freestyle and 25 backstroke; 3^rd 50 freestyle.

10 & Under Girls: Risa Pollock – 1^st 50 breaststroke and 100 Free; 2^nd 100 IM; 3^rd 50 Free and 50 Back.  Katie McVaigh – 1^st 100 IM, 50 Free; 50 butterfly, 50 Back; 2^nd 50 Breast.

10 & Under Boys: Andrew Henkaline – 1^st 200 freestyle; 2^nd 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100 freestyle and 50 breaststroke.

11-12 Girls: Addison Henkaline –1^st 100 IM, 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 400 freestyle and 50 breaststroke.  Erin Miller – 1^st 50 backstroke; 2^nd 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly and 50 breaststroke.

11-12 Boys: Sam Easley – 1^st 200 freestyle, 50 Free, 50 Fly, 100 Free and 50 backstroke.  Aaron Miller – 2^nd 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100 freestyle and 50 backstroke.

13-14 Girls: Bethany Fast – 1^st 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke.

15-18 Boys: Evan Stant – 1^st 200 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
