Philip D. Brown

Philip D. Brown, 93, formerly of Van Wert and Midland, Mich., died at 9 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012, at his son’s residence near Huntsville.

He was born August 9, 1918, in Ohio City, the son of the late Gaylord M. and Hazel (Hoffman) Brown. He married Helen (Maxson) Brown, who preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Tom (Cynthia) Brown of Huntsville and Timothy (Ann) Brown of The Dalles, Ore.; and five grandsons.

Four brothers, Keenan, Hoyt, William and Jacque, also preceded him in death.

Private family services will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

There will be no calling hours at this time.
