Eva Warnecke
Eva Warnecke, 80, of Fort Jennings, died at 7 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012, at the Meadows of Kalida.
She was born March 13, 1931, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Amos and Sarah (Perkins) Nichols. She married Kenneth Warnecke of Fort Jennings, who survives.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Terry (Jan) Warnecke of Cloverdale and John (Amy) Longbreak of Lima; two stepdaughters, Jody (Paul) Hoersten of Ottoville and Robbie (Richard) Wilhelm of Stuart, Fla.; a sister, Shirley Coles of Coldwater, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Jennings. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fort Jennings.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 3 that afternoon, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Preferred memorials: St. Joseph Catholic Church or Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
