The Van Wert County Heart Land Patriots are announcing their spring Republican Primary Candidates’ Night in preparation for one of the most important “Super Tuesday” primary elections to be held across the United States.
The March 6 primaries, dubbed by the media as “Super Tuesday”, will bring intense media scrutiny to the Republican Presidential ticket, and Ohio’s primary ballot will include Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, John Huntsman, and Mitt Romney. The Patriots’ candidate night’s participants will include all of the contested county commissioner hopefuls, candidates for Ohio’s 82nd House District, and at least one local candidate to challenge current U. S. Representative Bob Latta. The meeting will begin at 6:30 Tuesday evening, January 24, in the Youth Room of Trinity Friends Church’s Family Life Center, 605 N. Franklin St. in Van Wert.
The candidates night program is open to all area residents, and is planned to provide information to all voters in advance of the early voting season, which will commence on January 31. Local residents must be registered by February 6 to participate in the Super Tuesday primaries, and the Heart Land Patriots will be prepared to register new voters at the January 24th meeting.
In addition, voter registration may be accomplished at the local Board of Elections in downtown Van Wert. The Patriots are urging all Van Wert County and area voters to be faithful to exercise their rights to let their voices be heard loud and clear in this incredibly important primary election, and the general election in November.
The Heart Land Patriots is a local, politically and religiously conservative grassroots organization comprised of independents, Democrats, and Republicans who seek to restore the national government to its constitutionally defined principles of fiscal responsibility and accountability. Their mission includes both voter education and motivation.
