Rose Marie Maples
Rose Marie Maples, 75, of Haviland, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born April 14, 1936, in Haviland, the daughter of the late Elmer M. and Thelma Marie (Rodman) Baker. In 1957, she married Eugene Elmer Maples, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1988.
Survivors include four sons, Ivan Maples of Antwerp, James Maples of Haviland, Kenny (Lisa) Maples of Celina and Virgil (Carma) Maples of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Angelia (Kenneth) Calvelage of New Haven, Ind.; two brothers, Glenn (Joyce) Baker of Haviland and Elmer (Cheryl) Baker of Payne; four sisters, Erma Pratt, Toni (George) Searfoss and Carolyn (Jerry) Goins, all of Haviland, and Joann (Roger) Barker of Defiance; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A brother, John Baker, and a sister, Nellie Hartman, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 23, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery near Haviland.
Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, January 21, and from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 22, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials: Feed the Children, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society or the World Wildlife Fund.
