Grand Marshal named for Wren parade

WREN – Past members of the Wren Fire Department will serve as the collective Grand Marshal of this year’s Wren Homecoming Parade. The announcement was made by the Wren Parade Committee on Sunday. 

“These members along with their families have sacrificed and volunteered numerous hours over many years,” a press release noted. “The number of lives and families they have touched over their time is countless. These past members laid the foundation for the fire department of today. The entire Wren and surrounding communities are forever in these extraordinary people’s debt. Please help us in thanking these individuals.”

Members being honored and recognized include Cory Anderson, Dan Ross, Jackie Brandt, Kendra Miller, Beth Baker, Kevin Gehres, Ilo Myers, Cindy Cook, Richard Price, Bob Fleming, Brian Callow, Paul Richardson, Mike Miller, Andy O’Hagan, Mike McClure, Sam Fry, Don Bourelle, Mark Mihm, Keith Meyers, Larry Mossier, and Mariah Contreras.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. this Saturday, August 16.
