Sunday afternoon mishap…

This was the situation on S. Washington St. near Webster St. in Van Wert early Sunday afternoon. A southbound pickup truck pulling a travel trailer jackknifed while entering the curve. No injuries were reported. Road surfaces were wet and it was snowing lightly at the time of the accident. S. Washington St. at the curve was closed for about an hour while the Van Wert Police Department investigated and the scene was closed. The same area was the scene of an accident about two hours prior, when a Jeep went on the road near the curve and hit a pole. Bob Barnes/VWFD photographer
