Brianna Elizabeth Coon

Brianna Elizabeth Coon, 17, of Rockford, died Saturday night, February 4, 2012, after her car went off a rural Putnam County road and into a pond located near Ottoville.

She was born May 28, 1994, in Van Wert, the daughter of James F. Coon and Diana (Smith) Rissner, who both survive.

Other survives include her stepfather, Jason Rissner of Rockford; four brothers, Nicholas Coon, Jonathon Stegaman, and Zachary and Zavier Rissner, all of Rockford; her paternal grandmother, Lois Coon of Van Wert; her maternal grandmother, Cindy Fox of Lancaster; and stepgrandparents Henry and Mary Gingrich of Fremont, Ind.

Her paternal grandfather, Charles Coon; and an aunt, Tracy Coon, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, at New Horizon Community Church in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Cremation will take place after the services.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, February 10, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
